Reliant Medical Services 1 Page Business Plan
Overview
Reliant Medical Services has a clear business objective to promote Community Paramedicine services. These services have been developed over 2 months with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.
The Business Objectives
As a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to acquire new customers. Customer acquisition is considered to be the critical activity and we are seeking to grow the number of customers. We understand that customer growth could be at the expense of profitability, and that there is a cost associated with customer acquisition. Our long term objective is to build a clear customer acquisition process.
The Customer
Reliant Medical Services has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as diminishing hospitalization of high risk patients and save overall health care expenditures. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Primary Care Physicians.
The Value Proposition
Reliant Medical Services is uniquely positioned to deliver value to Primary Care Physicians. "Reliant Medical Services will provide in-home patient assessments for those patients who may negatively impact physician's insurance reimbursement rates due to health deterioration." In order to be deliver on this value proposition, Reliant Medical Services will utilize the Community Paramedicine model to provide assessment and treatment of patients with COPD, CHF and diabetic issues and after surgery wound care. This can include ECG assessment, patient education, wound care, home inspection for fall hazards and other patient advocate activities. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.
Competitors
We have a number of competitors within the Community Paramedicine market. We consider our key competitors to be: Private ambulance companies and home health services. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with private ambulance companies and home health services by our unmatched customer service and compassionate patient care. We will coordinate regular in-home visits and communicate assessments directly to doctors for improved health outcomes for high risk patients.
Key Strategies
Over the next 6 months our focus will be to meet with primary care physicians, hospital patient care advocates and others regarding services available to help high risk patients. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to expand business to coordinate 30 paramedics in providing services throughout North Metro Atlanta. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.
Milestones
Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 12 months are: 20 patients visited once a week; reduction in hospitalizations by high risk patients by 25%; contracts with four physicians offices; and, education programs monthly in two nursing homes.
