ALMA's clear business objective is to distribute high end yet easily accessible lifestyle brand clothing and products.
The Business Objectives
When as a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to grow profitability. It is critical that we balance revenue growth with the growth in our cost base. Whilst the desire for profitable growth may constrain our growth rate, it is more important that revenue grow in isolation. However down the line growth as a company will also become a key business objective.
The Customer
ALMA has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as a customer desire within Austin, TX to foster Brooklyn style in a Brooklyn like city. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of the hip, young or old.
The Value Proposition
ALMA is uniquely positioned to deliver value to our key consumer. "ALMA will provide easy, accessible, wearable fashion for the modern woman." In order to deliver on this value proposition, we believe our unique grasp of New York City gives us a nurtured understanding of trend and wearability. This capability has taken considerable time (a lifetime!) to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.
Competitors
We have a number of competitors within the hip and aware market. We consider our key competitors to be: Kickpleat in Austin and
Billy Reid-also in Austin. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with Kickpleat
or Billy Reid with an overall cleaner, fresher, more tasteful aesthetic .
Key Strategies
Over the next 6 months our focus will be to
-Find and invest in product to fit the store image
-Setup LLC and tax information to order wholesale
-Research key consumer retail zones for location.
The following tasks will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to invest in product
-Find location and build out store to meet need and convey aesthetic
-Research product and core consumer
-Search out product
-Believe in product
These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.
Milestones
Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are:
-Find capital investment
-Find ideal retail location
-Obtain customer base
