Overview

Kitchen Nutrition has a clear business objective to promote healthy living services. These services are being developed with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

The Business Objectives

When as a key component of our growth strategy I consider it critical to identify and outline my business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. My key long term business objective is to acquire new customers. Customer acquisition is considered to be the critical activity and we are seeking to grow the number of customers. I understand that customer growth could be at the expense of profitability, and that there is a cost associated with customer acquisition. My long term objective is to build a clear customer acquisition process.

The Customer

Kitchen Nutrition has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, I have validated the key customer problem as the ability to be happy and healthy without sacrificing valuable time. This is a critical issue for my selected target market of women.

The Value Proposition

Kitchen Nutrition is uniquely positioned to deliver value to Women. "Kitchen Nutrition will provide guidance and coaching to those in need of a healthier lifestyle, in and out of the kitchen". In order to deliver on this value proposition, I will use my degree in nutrition and experience working one on one with individuals. I can provide guidance to a more nutritious, active lifestyle for those who want and/or need it. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of my competitive advantage.

Competitors

I have a number of competitors within the healthy living market. I consider my key competitors to be: RDS. My understanding of these competitors has been used to refine my strategy and value proposition. I believe I can compete effectively with RDS by spending more time with clients, being more personable, provide less expensive services, and have a 24/7 availability.


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months my focus will be to create a blog and business cards. This task will be undertaken in the context of my broader strategy to potentially sell products to aid in healthy living. These strategies are a tactical implementation of my overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of my strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Launch business, obtain 20+ customers, create meal plans for clients.
