Modus Vivendi has a clear business objective to produce Luxury Home Furnishing products. This idea has been in development over 3 years with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

The Business Objectives

When as a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to acquire new customers. Customer acquisition is considered to be the critical activity and we are seeking to grow the number of customers. We understand that customer growth could be at the expense of profitability, and that there is a cost associated with customer acquisition. Our long term objective is to build a clear customer acquisition process through web sites and the use of social media.

The Customer

Modus Vivendi has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as Wanting to stay current and ahead of competition, home owners spend hundreds of thousands of pounds on the bricks, they want their interiors to reflect this. Those with only the option of renting equally want beautiful homes and interior design and the furnishings.

The Value Proposition

Modus Vivendi is uniquely positioned to deliver value to anyone with a home. Modus Vivendi with Luxury "one off" key Pieces to display love and enjoy in your home. In order to deliver on this value proposition, Modus Vivendi having been born into the world of antiques, having owned a successful upmarket sports and prestige car business and antiques emporiums know how to buy the beautiful items that will ultimately adorn homes through the country gives Modus Vivendi the kudos over all others. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

We consider our key competitors to be: Antiques emporiums, collingwood batchelors and other large scale furniture retailers are for the masses and the randoms.... Modus Vivendi are aiming to be midrange between the two. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with Antiques emporiums and large scale furniture retailers because of the following:

2) extensive research
3) understanding the marketplace
4) unique one off items
5) not mass produced
6) often uk produced and manufactured
7) no low quality imports
8) bespoke level of service
