21st Century Pet has a clear business objective to distribute Dried Dog Food products. We have been selling dog food for three years and have developed an understanding of customer requirements.

As a key component of our growth strategy, we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to launch a new product. Whilst our existing products have been useful for testing the customer problem, new products are required to fully capitalise on our business potential. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as nutrition to meet the individual needs of the dog and the budget of the owner. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Dog Agility Enthusiasts.

21st Century Pet is uniquely positioned to deliver value to Dog Agility Enthusiasts. Our new brand has a wide range of products to meet individual needs. We we are the only company selling this product in the UK. We are delighted to have been awarded the right to sell this product and this is the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

 

Competitors

We have a number of competitors within the Dried Pet Food market. We consider our key competitors to be: CSJ, Skinners, Burns and Raw Foods. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with these brands by offering a wider range of products, from budget to luxury, but all of the highest nutritional quality. .


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months, our focus will be to Sponsor rings at dog agility shows. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to expand online selling. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Launch new product, Obtain 100 customers and sell successfully online
