Bexley Fresh Deli 1 Page Business Plan

Organic Kosher Food Business Plan

Bexley Fresh Deli 1 Page Business Plan

Overview

Bexley Fresh Deli has a clear business objective to develop, produce, promote and distribute a healthy lifestyle (Organic and Kosher Food options) within the Bexley Community. This concept has been developed over the past 12 months with a core focus on addressing the deficiency of these healthy options within the market.

The Business Objectives

A key component of our growth strategy is Brand Recognition within the Market. We consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to acquire new customers. Customer acquisition is considered to be the critical activity to ensure long term sustainability within the market, while providing proof of concept for future potential expansion. We understand that customer growth could be at the expense of profitability during initial phases of business launch, and significant costs could be associated with early customer acquisition. Our long term objective is to replicate the fresh, healthy, local geared deli concept in multiple small communities across the country.

The Customer

Bexley Fresh Deli has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our local customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as a lack of fresh healthy eating options that are catered to the local community. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of health conscience members of a predominately Jewish community.

The Value Proposition

Bexley Fresh Deli is uniquely positioned to deliver value to health conscience members of the community, with a special focus on providing fresh kosher options to the Jewish presence within the market. "Bexley Fresh Deli will offer healthy organic and kosher food options in a community that lacks both." In order to deliver on this value proposition; we will build partnerships with unique local organic farmers and kosher food vendors to support local small businesses and help stimulate the local economy, in order to maintain our standards of offering healthy food options. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

Competitors

Within the Bexley community, there is no competition in the Organic, Kosher, & Health Food market. We consider our key competitors to be: Kroger (offer a limited organic/kosher selection) & Chipotle (although promotes healthy food options; not kosher, nor organic). Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with both Kroger & Chipotle by offering local fresh organic and/or Kosher food options.

Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months our focus will be to Create Brand Awareness within the communitity to promote local fresh healthy food options. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to establish the Bexley Fresh Deli Brand as the top healthy food option within the community. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are:
1) Gaining recognition as the top healthy food option in Bexley.
2) Create repeat customer base
3) Grow Catering services
