By regulating the brain's sensory motor rhythm (SMR) the distressing symptoms greatly diminish or resolve as observed by using a symptom tracking program. Decreasing/eliminating distressful symptoms is a critical issue for our target market of individuals who are seeking an improved quality-of-life.

In order to provide this value proposition, our neurofeedback clinician has 3+ years of experience working with clients conducting neurofeedback sessions. She is trained in the Othmer Method of neurofeedback through the EEG Info Institute. the Institute is run by Sigfried and Sue Othmer, both pioneers in the field of neuroscience since the early 1960's.
Our Neurofeedback Clinician has completed EEG Info's Introductory trainings as well as the Advanced Clinical Summit. Neurofeedback is a scientific, cutting edge approach to counseling and quality-of-life improvement that has taken 40+ years of evidence based research to develop and our ability to offer this to those we serve forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage in the counseling field.

Competitors

We have a number of competitors within the Neurofeedback or 'biofeedback for the brain' market. We consider our key competitors to be A number of single owner and small private practioners in the Salt Lake area. At Aspen Ridge Counseling-Neuro Clinic, due to the size of our agency, we are able to offer additional counseling and mental health services to our neurofeedback clientele that other, smaller practices are not able to offer. We currently have 17+ experienced, skilled clinicians, each with training in different specialty areas..
Our understanding of our competitors along with our ability to offer additional services in multiple locations has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with other neurofeedback private practioners in the greater Salt Lake Area. One of our 5 offices is likely within a 15 minute drive from anywhere in the valley.

Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months our focus will be to Market/create awareness of neurofeedback to the community through distribution of printed material to target populations, conducting free seminars to educate clients about neurofeedback and to create opportunities for interested parties could experience a 'trial' or a short 'sample' session. (for instance, through setting up a booth and participating in a local health or community fair). This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to purchase additional equipment and be able to offer neurofeedback at least two additional locations for our existing clients and have the ability to generate new clientele. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Acquire neurofeedback equipment and obtain 25 neuro clients
Train two additional clinicians in neurofeedback and obtain 50 additional neuro clients.
Acquire additional neurofeedback equipment and offer neurofeedback at two additional Aspen Ridge Counseling locations.
