East Coast Surveys has a clear business objective to develop, promote and expand its Small craft surveying services. These services have been developed over 4 years with a core focus on addressing the key customer requirements in a clear, definitive way.

As a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to acquire new customers. Customer acquisition is considered to be the critical activity and we are seeking to expand our customer database by moving into the offshore wind energy support vessel market and expansion into Ireland's South Coast. We understand that customer growth could be at the expense of profitability, and that there is a cost associated with customer acquisition. Our long term objective is to build a loyal clientele database which demonstrates mutual trust and respect.

East Coast Surveys is uniquely positioned to deliver value to small craft owners. "East Coast Surveys will Provide an honest, unbiased professional survey report with clarity." In order to be able to deliver on this, we have twenty years experience working in the pleasure boat industry. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

Competitors

We have a number of competitors within the small craft survey market. We consider our key competitor to be: Irish Marine Surveys. We believe that we can compete effectively with I.M.S. by our attention to detail and our experience in working with all types of small craft construction.


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months our focus will be to look to expand into the south coast of Ireland. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy which is to set up a contract to survey support vessels for the offshore wind energy market along Ireland's east coast.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by three development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Expand into Ireland's south coast, to hire one additional staff member and to open an office close to Dublin City.
