Smart Moves has a clear business objective to develop, produce, promote and distribute Educational Music and Movement Services services. These services have been developed over 6 months with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

The Business Objectives

When as a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to launch a new product. Whilst our existing products have been useful for testing the customer problem, new products are required to fully capitalise on our business potential. Our growth path is clearly oriented around the addition of new products, the development of these new products and the subsequent marketing of these. It is understood that costs will be associated with product development and marketing and these have been allowed for in our budget.

The Customer

Smart Moves has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as providing a music a music program that is educational as well as fun. This program will address various areas of child development. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Preschool Educational Programs.

The Value Proposition

Smart Moves is uniquely positioned to deliver value to Preschool Programs. "Smart Moves will provide music and movement services that are educationally sound. Our program seeks to improve and enhance motor skills and speech skills." In order to be deliver on this value proposition, I will utilize my experience and education. As an educator I have years of experience in the field of early childhood education. My educational background includes a B.A. in Child and Family studies, as well as a Minor in Music Voice. My work in Early intervention has given me a great deal of experience in developing motor skills and speech..This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

We have a number of competitors within the Educational Music and Movement Services market. We consider our key competitors to be: Gymboree

Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months our focus will be to launch this new service, I would like to implement a free Beta Program to local Preschool programs. I would like work with at least one center a week for 45mins to an Hour. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to Obtain consistent clients on a daily to weekly basis. Also I would like to expand my operations and provide my services for private events. I would like to develop a curriculum based on the fundamentals and principles of the program. I would also like to branch out into therapy for children with special needs. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: The Launch, Obtaining Beta Programs, and the Launching of the Official Business.
