Animal Homechecks LTD has a clear business objective to promote and provide a platform for rescues and the conscientious breeder to conduct private Homechecks. . These services have been developed over 7 days with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

The Business Objectives

When as a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to grow revenue. Rapid revenue growth is considered the most critical and measurable business goal. At this stage of our development, we consider this to be more important than profitability growth, although both are important long term objectives.

The Customer

Animal Homechecks LTD has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as We provide an opportunity for the breeder/rescue to take an in depth look into the customers home to discover wether or not they are truly suitable. Our HC's complete a form and attach a through report to help the breeder determine. Whilst this is not a new concept in regard to rescues completing Homechecks there has never been a platform for breeders to do this.. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Conscientious Hobby Breeders.

"Animal Homechecks LTD will Provide a service that enables breeders to truly know their precious puppy/kitten is going to the home presented to the breeder, this is a unique service not being offered anywhere else in the UK." In order to be deliver on this value proposition, we I have previously completed Homechecks on a voluntary basis for various rescues and on the flip side I'm a hobby breeder and wondered if I was doing right by puppy, where the customer all they made out? I think there is a gap in the market for this and I feel with my experience, expertise and entrepreneurial drive.. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

We consider our key competitors to be: Within the rescue community homechecks are completed by volunteers. Many rescues are already financially pushed so I doubt there will be the resources for regular trade however we could potentially recruit the volunteers for our services (self employed basis, think more rewarded for each homecheck than actually employed) and I think in situations where urgent home checks are needed or HC's not being available or out of range. I feel there is a massive market for breeders and people rehoming older pets.. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. Over the next 6 months our focus will be to Design and build a website offering a unique portal where customers can find their nearest home checker and make debit/credit card payments online whilst remaining user friendly.. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to We are the only company offering this service in the UK. There are a record amount of dogs ending in rescue, up until now the Homechecks are done by volunteers, there are many problems with this system as there is no uniform training meaning one homechecker could fail a potential home whilst another homechecker could pass the same home. We need industry recognised training and a protocol in place so that everyone is evaluated on the same merits. Also there is a huge boom at the moment with people breeding their famly pets (hobby breeders), these people are usually very attached to their animals and rightly worried where there puppies/kittens etc will go and £25 is priceless for the information they will receive. There are other key markets including people rehoming older family pets, commercial pet shop sales etc. As well as a increase in breeding at home, there has been a huge boom in European puppies being imported to the U.K. The vast majority of breeders sending dogs here are very concerned and whilst what popular belief may be are not necessarily only concerned with profit. When conducting their own horn checks there are a few issues, one being awkwardness, it can be very embarrassing looking round people's homes , there is a cost implication if travelling far (we aim to have nationwide HC (HC-homecheckers) distributed throughout the uk) There has been a huge increase in dog theft, bait, attacks and even murder. Within the next 12 months we would be looking to sign up multiple HC's thought the UK, build client base and complete a huge marketing campaign. .
