At this stage of our development, we consider this to be more important than profitability growth, although both are important long term objectives.

Gather has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as the opportunity to enjoy festivities in an indoor and outdoor unique environment on the town square. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of local and visiting families, individuals, and groups seeking a common gathering place.
The Value Proposition
Gather is uniquely positioned to deliver value to local and visiting families, individuals, and groups seeking a common gathering place. "Gather will provide our customers a memorable experience in a very unique environment in the center of a small town." In order to deliver on this value proposition, we will ensure an active outreach in Austin County and connecting counties, while promoting acoustic music, poets, and beer/wines of the month, our southern sweet tea, desserts, and other favorites. With active marketing, social media, and familiarity that draws locals back in for special events, this quaint establishment will inspire customers with "we're so glad they built it because we will come attitude." The ambiance and back home feeling of this establishment has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage. We will seek to hire locals to encourage old-timers and newcomers so a fresh vibe plays up the architecture and atmosphere of this great town square.
Competitors
We have a number of competitors within the Wine, Beer, & Beverages market. We consider our key competitors to be: Buffalo Creek Winery, Galileo's (Mexican restaurant), The Hill (Hamburgers, sodas, no alcohol), and Specs (Brenham). Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with Buffalo Creek Winery, Galileo's, The Hill, and Specs by the ability to attract traffic and customers on the square, with increased amount of indoor space, room for private affordable events, outdoor area for good weather days, nights under the stars, and a place to taste wines, beers, coffees, teas, and beverages at leisure on Bellville Market Days and throughout the year and weekends with music, sports television, poetry, table games, and outdoor movie night.
Key Strategies
Over the next 6 months our focus will be to appoint a social media and advertising director to promote the business and its ability to host private events for businesses, organizations, families, and individuals . This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to expand with beverage products, to incorporate gift cards for store items or monthly wine club, wine accessories, breads, oils, with potential menu of soup, salads, to-go containers of fresh chicken salad, sides and desserts. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.
Milestones
Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Celebrate 100th weekend night Celebrate customer #2015 100th wine club customer gets one free year of complimentary wine known as owner's favorite choice. Of course, goals will be set and met with customer feedback and "wish you would...!"
