This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of my competitive advantage.

Competitors

I have a number of competitors within the handcrafted furniture market. I consider key competitors to be: private sellers and other craftsmen running a cheap start up business. My understanding of these competitors has been used to refine my strategy and value proposition. I believe that I can compete effectively with private sellers and other craftsmen running a cheap start up business by being imaginative and creating completely unique all hand made products while setting the benchmark for service in my marketplace.


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months my focus will be to establish a productive furniture business developing and creating innovative one off and up cycled solid wood furniture. This task will be undertaken in the context of my broader strategy to expand the business in to a showroom. These strategies are a tactical implementation of my overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of my strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Launch the business, create enough quality product to sell and sustain a profitable income and to establish and retain a return customer base.
