The Business Objectives
As a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to keep satisfied clients and obtain new clients in the process. Customer acquisition is considered to be the critical activity and I am seeking to grow the number of clients by preforming proffessional and overall effective bodywork. I understand that customer growth could be at the expense of profitability, and that there is a cost associated with customer acquisition. Our long term objective is to build a clear customer acquisition process.
The Customer
Unravel Yourself Massage has been created with a clear focus on the needs of my clients. Through a structured customer discovery process, I have validated the key is to discover why the clients have requested bodywork by using a visual evaluation followed by a palpable evaluation and after reading and reviewing clients intake form. This will help me determine the effective steps that need to be taken to realieve the stress and pain associated with everyday wear and tare caused by either daily activities or jobs. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Ages 18-80.
The Value Proposition
Unravel Yourself Massage is uniquely positioned to deliver value to each client. In order to deliver on this value proposition, I will take the time to listen to what ails you and to always reassure the client that there will always be an open and clear line of communication to make sure the client is always getting exactly what they request. This capability has taken a considerable amount of time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.
Competitors
We have a considerable amout of competition in the massage therapy business. We consider our key competitors to be: Massage therapists that have had an education. My understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with other certified Massage therapists by taking the time to get to know each client on a very personal level to build a proffesional relationship built off of trust and communication.
Key Strategies
Over the next 6 months my focus will be to build a clintel off of making people feel better, about themselves as a person and physically. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to be successful enough to have the medical field of doctors and chiropractors refer there clients to me. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.
Milestones
Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Rent and maintain a space, obtain 4 hours of massage a day and build a client base of 25 customers weekly.
