Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as a missing link between colour and style with beach accessories and homewares. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of lovers of coastal living.

My Shanty is uniquely positioned to deliver value to lovers of coastal living. "My Shanty will provide colour and unique style to the home and beach." In order to be deliver on this value proposition, we offer unique patterns and colourful designs from our printing company, creating product that can not be replicated. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.
Competitors
We have a number of competitors within the homewares market and beachwear market. We consider our key competitors to be: various homewares stores on the Central Coast and a number of online retailers. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with various homewares stores on the Central Coast by offering fresh weekend flowers, our own prints and designs in beach towels, hooded towels and cushion covers.
Key Strategies
Over the next 6 months our focus will be to market effectively and creatively using social media. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to continue to grow and expand our clientele in addition to strengthening our own product range. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.
Milestones
Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: store opening, establish local customer basis as well as online following and to continue to release new products.
