4 YER PETS has a clear business objective to distribute Pet foods and accessories products. These products have been developed over 1 month with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

The Business Objectives

As a key component of our growth strategy, we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to grow profitability. It is critical that we balance revenue growth with the growth in our cost base. Whilst the desire for profitable growth may constrain our growth rate, it is more important that revenue growth in isolation.

The Customer

4 YER PETS has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer needs as an easy and convenient way of purchasing pets needs which is affordable for any budget.. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Animal lovers and owners.

The Value Proposition
 

4 YER PETS is uniquely positioned to deliver value to Animal lovers and owners. "4 YER PETS will not only sell foods and accessories for pets we are also pet owners and animal lovers with a good knowledge of what different animals needs are. So we feel we can also advise customers based on our own opinions using our own experiences.." In order to be able to deliver this value proposition, we sell what we know your pet needs to be happy, healthy and your best friend for life. Treat your pet right and your pet will always be your best companion. We are the key to this relationship. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

 

Competitors

Where we are hoping to occupy we know there are no other competitors and in the local vicinity there are only a few outlets that sell pet foods and accessories as a sideline and have no actual experience of being pet lovers as we are. We will be a pet and accessories outlet with online sales, click and collect and product deliveries taking pet shopping into the future not forgetting traditional methods I.e weigh 'n' save.. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with any of these competitors. My partner has an B.A (hons) Business Management and we also both have an extensive knowledge of the field that we are entering. We know what sells and what don't, local favourites etc....


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months, our focus will be to Learn from experiences of our customers and provide a service that is, new, fresh, being traditional with up to date methods setting new traditions for the future of pet shops. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to grow, expand, explore new avenues.
< br />To acquire the required permissions to keep and sell livestock.. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Open a livestock enabled shop, employ a vet or somebody with vetinary experience, buy or invest in a mobile outlet for rural areas being known by a wider community.
