Overview

Project Beard has a clear business objective to develop, produce, promote and distribute Beard Products and Printed Shirts products. These products have been developed over 1 month with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

The Business Objectives

When as a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to grow revenue. Rapid revenue growth is considered the most critical and measurable business goal. At this stage of our development, we consider this to be more important than profitability growth, although both are important long term objectives.

The Customer

Project Beard has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as reaching global customers since our business is based in Jordan, in the Middle East. Another problem we faced at the beginning was with the quality and content of the beard oil. It took a while to get the recipe and ingredients right. A problem with printed shirts was finding a printing technique that is cost-quality balanced. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Bearded men and young adults.

The Value Proposition

Project Beard is uniquely positioned to deliver value to Bearded men and young adults. "With Project Beard, you will feel fresh, smell good, look sharp; take care of your facial hair." In order to be deliver on this value proposition, we, among the majority (if not all) of individuals in my region, are the only who initiated this business. We came up with this idea and we believe we can deliver high value to customers in our region. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

Competitors

After conducting a market research, we learned that we are the only ones in this field of business in our region. However, we have a number of global competitors within the Beard Products and Printed Shirts market. We consider our key competitors to be: BeardBrand, Bearface Beard Oil, Apothecary. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively by price. We will be selling our products for a lower price internationally.


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months our focus will be to market our products on social networks (Instagram and Facebook). After informing customers in our region about our products, We will launch a website and start selling online. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to we will consider new product lines such as Moustache Wax, Beard Balm, Small Combs. On the other side of the business, We will expand to printing and selling long-sleeved tops and even hoodies. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Be in the global competitive market, Obtain 10 customers locally and 25 customers globally, and Achieve cost- and quantity-efficiency strategies.
