Couture Des Iles has a clear business objective to develop, produce, promote and distribute Bahamian straw creations in Europe and US.

The Business Objectives

Our key long term business objective is to launch an exclusive export and distribution portal of Bahamian straw crafts product in Europe and US. Whilst our existing products have been useful for testing the customer problem, new products are required to fully capitalise on our business potential. Our growth path is clearly oriented around the addition of new products, the development of these new products and the subsequent marketing of these. It is understood that free samples will be associated with product development and marketing and these have been allowed for in our budget.

Couture Des Iles has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as the need to produce more products. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Equestrian fashion and retailers.

The Value Proposition

Couture Des Iles is uniquely positioned to deliver value to Equestrian market and retailers. "Couture Des Iles will Provide products that are unique, sustainable, eco-friendly and elegant.." In order to be deliver on this value proposition, we will promote in Europe, use LinkedIn, social media sites and blogs. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

Competitors

We consider our key competitors to be: None. We do not have competitors in the European market.


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months our focus will be to put in place some marketing in Europe, produce more handbags for the Couture des Iles line and creating the distribution website.. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to Expand the market to the US. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Launch Couture Des Iles line and obtain 100 customers. Obtain most of the Bahamian designer to distribute through the website and get 100 customers with the distribution website
