Baby and Toddler Business Plan

Kapoochan 1 Page Business Plan

Overview

Kapoochan has a clear business objective to develop, produce, promote and distribute baby and toddler products and services. These products and services have been developed over 3 1/2 years with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

The Business Objectives

When as a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to acquire new customers. Customer acquisition is considered to be the critical activity and we are seeking to grow the number of customers. We understand that customer growth could be at the expense of profitability, and that there is a cost associated with customer acquisition. Our long term objective is to build a clear customer acquisition process.

The Customer

Kapoochan has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problems as: baby boutiques typically sell mass produced products. Most of these stores also focus primarly on girl items. Kapoochan would make sure that every product will be truly loved, cherished and hopefully passed on to next generations. We will make sure that both boys and girls will be treated equaly. Mothers of boys will have a wide selection of items to choose from. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of maternity to toddler products.

The Value Proposition

Kapoochan is uniquely positioned to deliver value to the maternity to toddler boutique feild, "Kapoochan will provide unique and one-of-a-kind baby products." In order to deliver on this value proposition, we utilize out of the box thinking to create, bring in and offer needed products that parents 'have' to have. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

Competitors

We have a number of competitors within the the maternity and baby market. We consider our key competitors to be: Cravings and So cute boutique. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with Cravings and So cute boutique by Offering handmade unique items you cannot buy anywhere else. By personalizing the customers shopping experience. By offering a store and brand that is not the typical baby boutique. Customes will be in "aww' of its rustic, vintage and earthy charm.

Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months our focus will be to utilize social media to advertize and grow our followers, we will offer free classes or workshops, offer free advice on breastfeeding and baby wearing. We will connect with other non-competitive businesses that have similar customers, we will rent shelf space for other at home business to use you for the selling of their unique, handmade items and inturn they will advertise.
We will find shelf space in other stores for out brands. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to move forward with developing a unique baby and toddler clothing line.
These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Launching bearbums cloth diaper line, Obtaining a great customer base, and Lunching a Kapoochan clothing line.
