When as a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to grow revenue. Rapid revenue growth is considered the most critical and measurable business goal. At this stage of our development, we consider this to be more important than profitability growth, although both are important long term objectives.
The Customer
PeteWilbyTriathlOn has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem to be preparing for triathlons or open water swimming (OWS) events. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of average earners and above.
The Value Proposition
PeteWilbyTriathlOn is uniquely positioned to deliver value to average earners and above. "PeteWilbyTriathlOn will coach people who want to do triathlon or OWS. Customers improve their technique and become more confident." In order to be deliver on this value proposition, we remain up to date with qualifications. Pete is a British triathlon coach and ows coach and has a sports science degree. He has been involved with the sports all his life and coaching for 6 years. PeteWilbyTriathlOn has all the facilities to provide a great service for beginners and advanced athletes alike. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.
Competitors
We have a number of competitors within the Triathlon coaching market. We consider our key competitors to be: council pools, surf life saving club, exeter tri club, teign triers, health clubs such as Davis Lloyd, personal trainers, and boot camp. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with council pools, surf life saving club, exeter tri club, teign triers, health clubs such as Davis Lloyd, personal trainers, and boot camp by, unlike clubs or personal trainers, specialising specifically in Tri and OWS. With higher saftey qualifications than surf life saving and more localised, small groups than the clubs.
Key Strategies
Over the next 6 months our focus will be to Bring in assistant coaches to expand the amount of athletes that can be looked after. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to recruit other lead coaches. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.
Milestones
Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Profit £15000, obtain company van and begin mountain bike side during winter
