Solid Sol, LLC 1 Page Business Plan
Overview
Solid Sol, LLC has a clear business objective to produce Custom Remodeling and Construction services. These services have been developed over 10 years with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.
The Business Objectives
We consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to acquire new customers. Customer acquisition is considered to be the critical activity in the remodel and construction industry and we are seeking to grow the number of customers our business reaches. We understand that customer growth could be at the expense of profitability, and that there is a cost associated with customer acquisition. Our long term objective is to build a clear customer acquisition process and become profitable.
The Customer
Solid Sol, LLC has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as the need for top-quality work performed by expert craftsmen who care about the home-owner's needs, limitations and requirements. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Home Owners.
The Value Proposition
Solid Sol, LLC is uniquely positioned to deliver value to Home Owners. "Solid Sol, LLC will provide excellent work at reasonable prices. We are trustworthy; we won't take advantage of our clients and we guarantee the very best. We are perfectionists... Your home is as important as ours." In order to deliver on this value proposition, every one of us at Solid Sol has worked for and studied the competition. We know what our competitors do and how they do it and because of that, we know what not to do, and how to do it right. We have had the unique opportunity to learn from the follies of others. This body of experience and knowledge has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage. Solid Sol has a combined 75 years of experience supporting it.
Competitors
We have a number of competitors within the Custom Remodeling and Construction market. We consider our key competitors to be: Bath Pro, Allied Stone, etc. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition as above. We believe that we can compete effectively with Bath Pro, Allied Stone, etc., by adopting a "no underhanded dirty business" policy. Further, unlike some of our competitors, we aren't just laborers-turned-independent-contractors-turned-business-owners or a couple of wealthy playboys looking for a tax shelter. We have only skilled craftsmen and highly-intelligent, organized business professionals manning our company, and that means our customers will get the service they pay for when promised, with less mistakes, by professionals who care.
Key Strategies
Over the next 6 months our focus will be to complete our company reorganization and structure, begin a focus on the most successful promotional techniques used by our competitors (home shows, print advertisements, mailers and referrals), seek out business networking opportunities, and perform superior quality work so as to acquire favorable reviews. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to provide our customers with a first class experience with a customer liaison / design specialist. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined.
Milestones
Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: 50 new / organic customers, the collection of 50 favorable reviews, and turning a sustainable profit.
