Overview
The World of Theatre has a clear business objective to develop, produce, promote and distribute Childrens theatre productions run by kids. These services have been developed over business that Is not yet started with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.
The Business Objectives
When as a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to launch a new service. Whilst other company's in the area have been useful for starting to solve the customer problem, new services are required to fully capitalise on our business potential. Our growth path is clearly oriented around the creation of new services , the development of these new servicesand the subsequent marketing of these. It is understood that costs will be associated with service development and promotion and these have been allowed for in our budget.
The Customer
The World of Theatre has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as CAPs,another local theatre group is closeing,this leaves several kids without other theatre group. kids are not able to be involved in all parts of the prodution and are unable to learn about all parts of theatre. Also kids that want to be involved in theatre but not act are not usally given the opertunity to help with other parts of the production.Large scale community theatre projects that solve all these issues do not curretly exist in the capital district of New York state. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of minors that want to be involved in a theatre production.
The Value Proposition
The World of Theatre is uniquely positioned to deliver value to minors that want to be involved in a theatre production. "The World of Theatre will teach kids about all aspects of theatre and involve them in makeing choices about their production. CAPs kids will have a place to be in shows as a group and those that dont want to act but like theatre can be involved backstage where they otherwise may not have been able to be involved in a theatre production at all." In order to be deliver on this value proposition, we will apoint heads of staff that are mature children in grades 7-12 that have been involved in nemorus theatre productions before as actors or as a part of their department and know how shows work and how to help the kids their teaching reach their full potencal.Also the superviors that have experence in the departent their suppervising and can help heads of staff do their job,teach them how to do this correctly,and help with any problems that may arise will be apointed. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.
Competitors
We have a number of competitors within theChildrens theatre productions run by kids market. We consider our key competitors to be: other children's theatres such as Saratoga children's theatre and SLOC kidshowever kids are not involved in the production other then with acting and to not have the opertunity for the most part to be part of other departments.. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with Their are other children's theatres such as Saratoga children's theatre and SLOC kids.
Key Strategies
Over the next 6 months our focus will be to We will put together a team of teenaged heads of staff and find an adult supervisor for each head of staff that can help them and is knowledgeable about their department. A fiscal sponser will be found in order to make this organization non profit and show rights and scripts will be scurred, along with performance and rehearsal spaces. The program will then be marketed and rehearsals
Milestones
Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones that have to be reached to implement our services. The milestones that will and need be achieved over the next 2 years are:
1.sucureing funding and finding a fiscul sponsor
2.finding supervisors and heads of staff
3.conviceing the public that this is a good idea and somthing their kids should be involved in
