Overview

Nonprofit Institute LLC has a clear business objective to develop, produce, promote and distribute nonprofit trainings & consulting products and services. These products and services have been developed over 3 months with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

The Business Objectives

As a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to grow revenue. Rapid revenue growth is considered the most critical and measurable business goal. At this stage of our development, we consider this to be more important than profitability growth, although both are important long term objectives.

The Customer

Nonprofit Institute has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as the need for professional trainings and consulting services for nonprofit organizations. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of nonprofit executives and social entrepreneurs. The size of this market is currently over 5,000 nonprofit corporations in Puerto Rico.

The Value Proposition

Nonprofit Institute LLC is uniquely positioned to deliver value to nonprofit executives and social entrepreneurs. "Nonprofit Institute LLC will provide a service specially designed for the nonprofit sector, applying a variety of business perspectives." In order to be deliver on this value proposition, we rely on our vast experience in the nonprofit sector, complemented with legal education focused in corporate law. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

Competitors

There is no direct competition offering trainings and services exclusively for nonprofit executives. There is, however, a number of competitors within the professional education and business trainings market. We consider our key competitors to be: Seminarios Imagen and Anexo Interactive. The University of the Sacred Heart also offers nonprofit management programs, but in university, degree-granting level.
Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with Seminarios Imagen, Anexo Interactive and the University of the Sacred Heart by offering high-quality trainings focused on the needs of the nonprofit sector, which can be completed throughout the year, both online or offline and in short periods of time.


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months our focus will be to offer one training per week. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to launch new academic programs and certificates. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Offer trainings online Launch new products Obtain clients for consulting services
