Overview

The Allen Early Learning Academy, Inc. has a clear business objective to prepare engaged, excited and equipped early learners for kindergarten. This play based learning model is being developed over the next 30 days with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

The Business Objectives

A key component of our growth strategy considers it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to engage, excite, and equip early learners for kindergarten. Our growth path is clearly oriented around the ultimate service capacity to 24 full day students, the development of these new students and the subsequent impact that providing high quality early learning opportunities to historically unserved or grossly under served families will have on the neighborhoods which these families inhabit. It is understood that costs will be associated with product development and marketing and these have been allowed for in our budget.

The Allen Early Learning Academy, Inc. has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our community. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as the need to maximize kindergarten readiness among the most vulnerable populations in Marion, IN.. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of families with young children.

The Value Proposition

The Allen Early Learning Academy, Inc. is uniquely positioned to deliver value to families with young children. "The Allen Early Learning Academy, Inc. will provide affordable high quality early learning opportunities to families historically unserved or grossly under served." In order to deliver on this value proposition, we will rely on our sponsoring congregation's reputable connection to the community since 1898 and the vision of the current leadership to close the educational achievement gap. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

Competitors

We have a number of competitors within the early learning market. We consider our key competitors to be: Westminster Presbyterian Preschool, Lakeview Preschool and the Grant County Head Start programs. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with Westminster Presbyterian Preschool, Lakeview Preschool, and the Grant County Head Start programs by emphasizing an intentional multi-cultural approach to educating the whole child.


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months our focus will be to identify high need families in the neighboring community of Allen Temple AME Church. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to recruit and employ high quality early learning education specialists to enhance the developmentally appropriate curricula and programming available. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Achieve Level 3 Paths to Quality rating, achieve maximum capacity enrollment to 24 (3-5 year old) students, and integrate a healthy child curriculum in conjunction with Grant County Minority Health Coalition.
