She's Crafty 1 Page Business Plan

Overview

She's Crafty has a clear business objective to produce Jam, Jelly & Preserves products. These products have been developed over 6 years with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

The Business Objectives

As a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to grow profitability. It is critical that we balance revenue growth with the growth in our cost base. Whilst the desire for profitable growth may constrain our growth rate, it is more important that revenue growth in isolation.

The Customer

She's Crafty has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as a lack of organic jams jellies and preserves made without preservatives, high fructose corn syrup and commercial pectin.. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of People who like jams.

The Value Proposition

She's Crafty is uniquely positioned to deliver value to people who care what goes into their bodies. "She's Crafty makes healthy organic jams, jellies & preserves to be eaten on sandwiches, with wine and cheese platters, for use as glazes on meats, in salad dressings or desserts." In order to deliver on this value proposition, I have a unique approach to matching fruit flavors together. My highest priority is using organic and sustainable grown fruit from local farmers and preserving that vibrant fruit flavor by utilizing traditional methods of canning. It is the quality and variety of offerings that set me apart from other jam makers. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

Competitors

We have a number of competitors within the Jam, Jelly & Preserves market. We consider our key competitors to be: (I'm not sure who my completion in these markets would be)

Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with ( I'll add this when I figure this out ) by I think we'd be able to compete with them because the quality of our jams and jellies also the wide selection and variety of flavors that we produce original and unique parings of fruits and herbs to make jelly's & jams.

Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months our focus will be to Get into a commercial kitchen to produce more jams. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to be doing a couple of local farmers markets a week and a couple of specialty festival/markets a year. Also to be selling my goods to boutique hotels and boutique health food stores. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: To obtain a regular customer base. Work on getting a booth at the Hollywood farmers market and the Playa Del Ray farmers market.
