Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated that the key customer problem is the scarcity of a healthy and delicious variety of food. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of the working class.

The Farmer's Takeaway is uniquely positioned to deliver value to the working class precisely. "The Farmer's Takeaway will provide affordable healthy and delicious food of many varieties that is out of the ordinary within goodhope." In order to be deliver on this value proposition, our creative cooking brings in city style food that is out of the ordinary. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

 

Competitors

We have a number of competitors within the Food market. We consider our key competitors to be: Motimalenyora restaurant and the Sundowner. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with Motimalenyora and Sundowner and Council by continuing to providing and expand our unique, out of the ordinary, city style food at an affordable price


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months, our focus will be to do extensive marketing. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to which is to provide services for events and become a full fledged catering and events management company. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: To obtain 100+ customers a day and become technologically advanced through social media and the use of modern cooking equipment for efficiency without compromising the quality of our food and to become fully equipped in order to provide the best of our delivery service.
