Boards and Brews has a clear business objective to develop, produce, promote and distribute Board games and beverage products and services. These products and services have been developed over the past year with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

As a key component of our growth strategy, we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to acquire new customers. Customer acquisition is considered to be the critical activity and we are seeking to grow the number of customers. Our long term objective is to build a clear customer acquisition process.

Boards and Brews has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as the need for rentable board games and a public place to relax and play them with friends. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Board Game Players.

The Value Proposition
 

Boards and Brews is uniquely positioned to deliver value to Board Game Players. "Boards and Brews will provide an easier way for board gamers to discover new games." In order to deliver on this value proposition, we we rent board games rather than sell them, and give people the opportunity to play in a fun, relaxing environment. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

 

Competitors

We have little to no competitors within the rentable board games and beverages market. Our understanding of the few competitors there are has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively because rent board games is something very unique to this market. The town in which we will open also doesn't have a place where folks can come in and drink and play games.


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months, our focus will be promoting the business. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to expand into a larger facility in order to obtain and house more customers at once. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 6 months are: Own 300 games; Obtain 50 customers; Open shop.
