Titan Street Furniture has a clear business objective to develop, produce, promote and distribute Street Furniture products, consulting, and design services. These products and services have been developed over many years with a core focus on addressing the key customer needs and associated opportunities.
The Business Objectives
As a key component of our growth strategy, we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to launch new products. Whilst existing products on the market meet customer requirements to a degree, the new ranges of Titan products will take street furniture products to a new level of design and quality. This will allow us to fully capitalise on our business potential. Our growth path is clearly oriented around the addition of new products, the development of these new products and the subsequent marketing of these. It is understood that costs will be associated with product development and marketing and these have been allowed for in our budget.
The Customer
Titan Street Furniture has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as the need for affordable, maintainable, durable and environmentally enhancing street furniture. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Councils, schools, architects, businesses.
The Value Proposition
Titan Street Furniture is uniquely positioned to deliver value to Councils, schools, architects and businesses. "Titan Street Furniture will be working with, and listening to, customers to supply the product they need within a given environment, within their budget.." In order to deliver on this value proposition I will utilise my experience in product design, manufacturing, product presentation, personal customer service and knowledge of client requirements in the street furniture market. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of Titan's competitive advantage.
Competitors
We have a number of competitors within the Street Furniture, Consulting, Design market. We consider our key competitors to be: Broxap, Marshalls, Furnitubes, Earth Anchors and Glasdons. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with these companies by a more personal service and with an emphasis on exceptional design to create an attractive, affordable product with an economic use of quality materials. This coupled with superb customer service and a maintainable, simple product will give us the edge over those competitors.
Key Strategies
Over the next 6 months our focus will be to promote via mail-shot leaflets, email, promo items, cold calling and telephoning targeted counties in the south of England to generate leads and quotes. We will offer free installation, 3 for 2 promo's, free site evaluations of existing products and free design services and consultations. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to launch new play products at the Playfair exhibition in 2014 under the sister company name of Titan Play. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.
Milestones
Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Receive first volume order. Have product specified by an architect or council. Achieve sufficient turnover to obtain bespoke business premises.
