CambriaMusic has a clear business objective to develop and distribute music lessons and music-learning products and services. These products and services have been developed over the last 11 years with a core focus on addressing key student problems and associated opportunities.

As a key component of our growth strategy, we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to acquire new students. Student acquisition is considered to be the critical activity and we are seeking to grow the number of students. We understand that student growth could be at the expense of profitability, and that there is a cost associated with student acquisition. Our long term objective is to build a clear student acquisition process.

CambriaMusic has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our students. Through a structured student discovery process, we have validated the key student problem as "Take your musicianship to the next level". This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Parents of 6th-to-12th graders.
The Value Proposition
CambriaMusic is uniquely positioned to deliver value to Parents of 6th-to-12th graders. "CambriaMusic delivers empowerment to students 24/7." In order to deliver on this value proposition, we teach students to play from the heart. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.
Competitors
We have a number of competitors within the music lessons and learning tools market. We consider our key competitors to be: Music Together, Suzuki, Guitar Center. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with Music Together, Suzuki, and Guitar Center because Clark's experience as a performer / composer-arranger / band leader -- combined with his love of sharing music with others -- provides a unique opportunity for effective musical education.
Key Strategies
Over the next 6 months our focus will be to meet with Bay Area music center owners and managers. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy of recording a student concert. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.
Milestones
Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: (1) Enroll 10 weekly students (2) Have 20 weekly students enrolled, and (3) Publish a digital learning program.
