Dixie & Twine has a clear business objective to distribute original handmade kids clothing. These products have been developed over just starting with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

When as a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. People don't want to pay multiple shipping costs to get a few great pieces. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of hip and trendy moms.

The Value Proposition

Dixie & Twine is uniquely positioned to deliver value to moms. "Dixie & Twine will provide access to great original products for kids that aren't the same thing that's in every store." In order to be deliver on this value proposition, we have all the products in one place. No need to look them all up online and pay shipping to each shop. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

Competitors

We have a number of competitors within the original handmade kids clothes market. We consider our key competitors to be: Charlie and Cocos and Westcoast kids. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with Charlie and Cocos and Westcoast Kids by being located in a highly populated area in an affluent neighbourhood. Dixie & Twine's products are different from what the other shops are selling. Most lines carried are made by moms who want something stylish and cool for their own kids to wear and couldn't find what they were looking for in the regular kid stores.


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months our focus will be to build a spectacular website and build our social media. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to go to trade shows and set up pop up shops. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Get every product line I want in my store, reach 10000 sales and have customers tell me how much they like the idea behind the store and refer others to Dixie & Twine.
