Teen jobs 1 Page Business Plan

Overview
Teen jobs has a clear business objective to develop, produce, and promote a website service to help high school students find casual jobs. This service is in the beginning stages of development with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.
The Business Objectives
When as a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to launch a new product. Our growth path is clearly oriented around the addition of this new website, the development of the website and the subsequent marketing of this. It is understood that costs will be associated with website development and marketing and these have been allowed for in our budget.
The Customer
Teen jobs has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as helping 14 - 18 yr olds looking to raise money for specific purposes eg fundraising, find appropriate casual & odd job types of employment. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of high school students.
The Value Proposition
Teen jobs is uniquely positioned to deliver value to high school students. "Teen jobs will provide a website where teens can respond to suitable jobs posted, aimed specifically at their fundraising needs." In order to be deliver on this value proposition, we will develop a unique job-seeker/employment website aimed specifically at high school students, which doesn't currently exist in NZ. This capability will take considerable time and resources to develop and will form the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.
Competitors
We have a number of competitors within the Casual jobs for teens market. We consider our key competitors to be: Student Job Search, & Seek.co.nz. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with other NZ job seeker sites as none are targeting teen job seekers; ours will be a unique service for teens.
Key Strategies
Over the next 6 months our focus will be to develop a website where teens can search for casual jobs posted by individuals, businesses &/or community organisations. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to attract advertisers to the website to generate revenue. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.
Milestones
Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Launch website, have 100 job ads posted, 100 teen job seekers registered
