Da Bomb Cafe is uniquely positioned to deliver value to CBD workers and Hipsters. Da Bomb Cafe will offer a quiet chilled spot to enjoy smooth coffee, read the paper and enjoy friendly customer service. In order to deliver on this value proposition, our coffee will be roasted in Melbourne and delivered to our laneway cafe so the customer gets a great coffee roasted for our climatic conditions, as well as providing up to date news reading material, a pleasant environment created by unique decor and music, and well trained staff. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.
Competitors
We have a number of competitors within the cafe market. We consider our key competitors to be: Bunker records, The Finch, Ground Up, Rendezvous, Coffee Club and Michelle's. Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with these other businesses by being located in a uniquely styled bomb shelter right in the heart of the cbd. The site has plenty of on street parking and is within walking distance to the new grand central development. We will serve a unique coffee blend and tasty food that can be enjoyed in house or be taken on the go.
Key Strategies
Over the next 6 months our focus will be to build our customer base through targeted print and social media advertising. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to increase revenue and grow customer numbers through radio and TV Advertisements. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.
Milestones
Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Launch Da Bomb and open, to have a set of regular customers and the need to hire additional kitchen and beverage staff.
