HarveyAshe has a clear business objective to develop, produce, promote and distribute Parenting Skills Coaching services. These services have been developed over 4 months with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

The Business Objectives

As a key component of our growth strategy, we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is for professionals to be trained to deliver the accredited programme 'Advanced parenting skills'. Our growth path is clearly oriented around the training of professionals, the development of 'Advanced Parenting Skills' and the subsequent marketing of these. It is understood that costs will be associated with product development and marketing and these have been allowed for in our budget.

HarveyAshe has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as Child to Parent Violence. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Parents effected by their child's violent behaviour.

The Value Proposition
 

HarveyAshe is uniquely positioned to deliver value to Parents effected by their child's violent behaviour. "HarveyAshe will deliver a programme of Parenting Coaching Skills that will improve parents confidence and reduce stress for all family members." In order to deliver on this value proposition, we are highly skilled at working with families experiencing challenging behaviour. Our service is unique because it is a 1-1 session conducted by teleconferencing. It is easily accessible and addresses barriers to support such as travel, location and the stigma associated with attending parenting groups. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

We have a number of competitors within the Parenting Skills Coaching market. We consider our key competitors to be: Strengthening Families

Our service is flexible in terms of location of session, sessions can be accessed at home or in a room in an educational setting. Our service requires one professional rather than a team of people for a parenting group, this is economically attractive.
Inclusion on the programme is immediate, there will be no waiting list or course cancelled due to lack of participants.


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months, our focus will be to secure funding of £10,000 to deliver a pilot programme. This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to recruit and train professionals to deliver an innovative parenting coaching service. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: to secure funding for delivery of a pilot programme to 20 parents, to train professionals to deliver 'Advanced Parenting Skills' nationally, for those professionals to deliver 'Advanced Parenting Skills' nationally under a supervision model.
