Overview

Dark Horse Armory has a clear business objective to develop, produce, promote and distribute Gun smithing, Firearms, parts products and services. These products and services have been planned and cultivated over the last 3 yrs, with a core focus on addressing the key customer problem and associated opportunities.

The Business Objectives

When as a key component of our growth strategy we consider it critical to identify and outline our business objectives, and align these objectives with clear and measurable development milestones. Our key long term business objective is to acquire new customers. Customer acquisition is considered to be the critical activity and we are seeking to grow the number of customers. We understand that customer growth could be at the expense of profitability, and that there is a cost associated with customer acquisition. Our long term objective is to build a clear customer acquisition process.

The Customer

Dark Horse Armory has been created with a clear focus on the needs of our customers. Through a structured customer discovery process, we have validated the key customer problem as The need for quality firearms and parts for the Canadian shooting enthusiast without having to import from other countries. This is a critical issue for our selected target market of Canadian Military, LE and shooting enthusiasts.

The Value Proposition

Dark Horse Armory is uniquely positioned to deliver value to Military, LE and shooting enthusiasts. "Dark Horse Armory will Build quality precision and custom firearms and parts." In order to deliver on this value proposition, My 17 yrs of military service and life long hunting and shooting sports experience along with contacts within the Canadian military, LE and private security field gives me a solid foundation to build on as well as an experienced testing bed to design, develop and prove new equipment and parts. This capability has taken considerable time and resources to develop and forms the cornerstone of our competitive advantage.

Competitors

We have a number of competitors within the Gun smithing, Firearms and parts market. We consider our key competitors to be: Alberta tactical rifle supply, dlask and cadex . Our understanding of these competitors has been used to refine our strategy and value proposition. We believe that we can compete effectively with Alberta tactical rifle supply, dlask and cadex by concentrating on the AR and 1911 firearms and parts along with producing the only Canadian AR based platform long range rifle in multi caliber configuration..


Key Strategies

Over the next 6 months our focus will be to create website, physical promotion at sporting and shooting events and sponsorship.
This task will be undertaken in the context of our broader strategy to Upgrade workshop, Build quality precision firearms and parts and produce new ergonomic and industry unique products. These strategies are a tactical implementation of our overall business goal as outlined above.

Milestones

Measurement of the successful implementation of our strategies will be governed by measurable development milestones. The milestones that will be achieved over the next 2 years are: Build and sell first 1000 firearms Be recognized in the industry for high quality and precision Procure a military and/or LE contract
